Carol was born in Kearney, N.J. on Dec. 5, 1942, daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Jones) Meikle. She settled to Waterbury from New Jersey 45 years ago and later to Wolcott in 1984.
She worked in finance for Colonial Bank, Bank of Boston and Bank Boston and then for Bob’s Stores in Waterbury and Meriden for 30 years, retiring in 2010.
She loved traveling, playing cards, going to the casino and most importantly, spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by four children, Lorraine Slupczewski of Thomaston, Kathryn Annenberg and her husband Michael of Cheshire, Thomas Miles and his wife Stephanie, with whom she lived, of Wolcott and Janet Romanzi and her husband Alex of Thomaston; a brother, Robert Meikle and his wife Roni, of South Plainfield, N.J.; six grandchildren, Matthew, Lindsay, Logan, Trudy, Gwyneth and Thea; and several nieces and nephews.
