Caroline was born in England on 7 April 1976, and grew up in Tarvin, Cheshire, with her parents Lynn (Roberts) and Roger James Ball; brothers, Matthew (wife Shauna), Nathan and Jared; and sister Kimberley.

She attended Tarvin County Primary School and Tarporley County High School. She was a Brownie, a Girl Guide, Deputy Rosebud and Deputy Rose Queen in the Tarvin Carnival. Carrie loved to make things, to ballet dance, anything to do with pigs, and especially to play with children.Caroline immigrated to Utah on 15 October 1992, graduated from Alta High School in 1994 and was a psychology undergraduate at Southern Utah University. She worked in the deli at Albertson's, where everybody loved her.

Second Lieutenant Coy K. Bryant, Army National Guard Artillery, stole Carrie's heart and they were married in Cedar City 13 January 1996.

She sustained severe brain injuries in a Cedar City traffic accident on 1 August 1997, while 36 weeks pregnant. Caroline's and Coy's son, Carter James, was born strong and healthy, (6 lbs. 5 oz. and 191/2 in.), a short time later at Valley View Medical Center. Carrie was flown to LDS Hospital, Salt Lake City, where she died 2 August 1997.

Predeceased by grandmothers, Kathleen Roberts and Evelyn Ball; grandfather, Ernest James Ball. Survived by her husband, son, parents, brothers and sister, and grandfather William Roberts.

There will be a viewing for friends and family in Salt Lake City from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the LDS meetinghouse, 6350 South Rodeo Lane (1540 East), and in Cedar City from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Southern Utah Mortuary, 190 North 300 West. Friends may also visit from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Thursday, 6 August 1997, at the LDS meetinghouse, 61 North 900 West, Cedar City where the funeral service will commence at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Cedar City Cemetery immediately following the service.
