If you go to this grave site, you will notice that there is a cement walkway around it. (unless the grass has grown up so badly that it's invisible.)
Family lore says the menfolk agreed to build this walkway but that other things kept coming up and it just didn't get done. One day, the family of Laura Kate came in for dinner and found it wasn't there. When asked, Laura Kate said that she was on strike until the walkway was completed. No walkway, no anything. Needless to say, the menfolk got busy and completed the promised job.
Her parents were Hardy Crump, 1800-1862 and Mary Brashears Stewart Crump, 1808-1870.
