Ellen Kathleen McCallum, 95, of Lincoln, passed away February 17, 2017. Born October 30, 1921 in DeWitt, Nebraska to Carl W. and Izetta A. (Jones) Wilkens. Received her Bachelor's degree in Home Economics and Master's degree in psychology at UNL. Married Bruce McCallum on June 3, 1946 in DeWitt, NE. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1997. Ret. Home Economics Teacher in Wauneta, Palisade and Imperial, Nebraska (20 years). Lincoln resident since 1990. Member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
Family members include her daughter, Kathleen M. (Charles) Schroeder; son, Douglas B. (Gaye) McCallum, all of Eagle; grandchildren, Chris, Matt, Betsy and Lindsay; step-grandchildren, Caitlin, Adam, Lindsay and their spouses and families; numerous extended family members and friends. Preceded in death by parents, first husband, Lee Klostermeier (killed in action during WWII), husband, Bruce McCallum, grandson, Patrick, brother, Everett and sister, Marilyn.
