Helen Ballew Corley, 78, formerly of Shreveport, passed away on July 18, 2009 in Granbury, Texas. Private graveside services were held at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport, Louisiana on July 20, 2009. Officiated by nephew David Conduff of Bossier City, Louisiana.

Helen passed away after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer. She was born on April 11, 1931 in Mena, Arkansas. She married John Wesley Corley and was the loving mother of twin daughters, Betty and Bonnie. John and Helen started a pool business in Shreveport, Louisiana which they ran for 31 years and then retired to their farm in Bivins, Texas. She enjoyed traveling and reading and had a wonderful love for her family, life and God.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband John; mother, Elverda Ballew; and her father, Jeff Ballew.

Helen is survived by two daughters, Betty Leblanc and husband Henry of Macon, Georgia and Bonnie Brinkerhoff and husband Sunny of Granbury, Texas; six grandchildren, Richard M. John and his wife Angela, Brian Wesley John and his wife Christa, Karen Young and her husband Chad, Michael Leblanc and his wife Suzanne, Renee Rawlins and Joseph P John, III and his wife Tara; great-grandchildren, Corley John, Ansley Young, Wesley John, Grant John, John Young, Bridget John, Leah John, Clara Lee Rawlins and Ava Grace Leblanc; two sisters, Pat Conduff and Martha Conduff; one brother, Thomas Ballew; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Mission Hospice of Cleburne, Texas, Granbury Villa of Granbury, Texas and Linda May.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Granbury Villa Nurses and CNA's Fund at Chase Bank.
