The parents of Jincy Lucea Deerman were: Richard Deermam (1783-1849) and Margaret Davis Deermam (1794-1863) who were married on 01 Mar 1807 at Darlington Co., S.C.

Jincy Deerman was born in 1809 at Darlington Co., S.C.

The 1810 US Census of Darlington Co., South Carolina enumerated the household of 27 Y/O Richard Deerman (age range 26-44) and his 16 Y/O wife, Margaret (Davis) Deermam (age range 16-25). The only other members of the household were 2 females under 10 Y/O, one of which was 1 Y/O Jincy Lucea Deerman.

Between 1810 and 1820, Richard Deerman moved his family from Darlington, South Carolina to St. Clair Co., AL as the 1820 Alabama State Census of St. Clair County enumerated him residing there. He received a homestead land patent of 79.27 acres on 01 Oct 1823 in St. Clair Co., AL.

Jincy Lucea Deerman (Dearman) married Pleasant Riggs Crump on 20 Aug 1828 at St. Clair Co., AL (see attached marriage record). (NOTE: Jincy's surname on her marriage record is "Dearman " and her family's records use that spelling interchangeably with "Deerman".

The 1830 US Census of St. Clair Co., AL enumerated the household of Pleasant Riggs Crump (age range 20-30 years) and his wife, Jincy Lucea (Deerman) Crump (age range 20-30 years), the only two people living in the household.

The 1840 US Census of St. Clair Co., AL enumerated the household of Pleasant Riggs Crump (age range 30-39 years) and his wife, Jincy Lucea (Deerman) Crump (age range 30-39 years). There were 6 children enumerated in the household.

The 1850 US Census of District 40, St. Clair Co., AL enumerated the household of 49 Y/O Pleasant Riggs Crump, a farmer born in GA, and his 41 Y/O wife, Jincy Lucea (Deerman) Crump, born in S. C. Also living in the household were their children: 19 Y/O Richard D. Crump, a farmer; 17 Malissa J. Crump; 15 Y/O Cansada Crump; 14 Y/O Reuben D. Crump; 12 Y/O Daniel Crump; 10 Y/O Mary E. The 1860 US Census of Township 13, Range 4 East, St. Clair Co., AL enumerated the household of 56 [sic] Y/O Pleasant Riggs Crump, a farmer born in GA, and his 53 Y/O wife, Jincy Lucea (Deerman) Crump, born in S. C. Also living in the household were their children: 25 Y/O Reuben D. Crump, a farmer; 20 Y/O Myra (Mary) E. Crump; 17 Y/O Sarah (Sallie) C. Crump; 15 Y/O Nancy C. Crump; 13 Y/O James W. Crump and 10 Y/O Owen P. Crump. NOTE: Surprisingly, Pleasant's estate was valued at $12,500 (enumeration error?) so soon after the Civil War.

In January 1866 Pleasant Crump paid $1.50 tax on 3 head of cattle at Ashville, St. Clair Co., AL.

The 1870 US Census of Subdivision 39, Precinct 5, St. Clair Co., AL enumerated the household of 66 [sic] Y/O Pleasant Riggs Crump, a farmer born in GA, and his 63 Y/O wife, Jincy Lucea (Deerman) Crump, born in S. C. Also living in the household were their children: 28 Y/O Maria (Mary) E. Crump; 25 Y/O Sarah (Sallie) C. Crump and 19 Y/O Owen P. Crump.

The 1870 Agricultural Census of St Clair Co., AL recorded that Pleasant Crump owned 475 acres of land.

70 Y/O Jincy Lucea (Deerman) Crump died on Sept 1879 at St. Clair Co., AL with a diagnosis of "paralysis".
