Roy Wayne Harper, 58, of Elkview, passed away February 13, 2017, after a long illness. He was born December 21, 1958, to the late Pansy and Mark Harper.

In addition to his parents, Roy is preceded in death by his son, Alex Marcum.

Roy is survived by his son Roy Jr.; daughters, Hope Taylor and Gessica Harper; former wife, Pamela Harper; brothers, David (Betty) Harper and Roger Harper; sisters, Linda (Jim) Quinn, Patricia Fugate, Connie Bishop, Bonnie (Jim) Crouch, and Deloris Daniels; and 10 grandchildren.

Roy was a very hard working and loving father and grandfather. He had a very kind heart and would do anything help you, if you asked. Roy was very proud of his kids.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
