Funeral services for Ronnie Shelton will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana with the Revs. Johnny Magnuson & David Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow in Chickasaw Cemetery, Olla, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana.

Mr. Shelton, age 65, of Boyce, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Grace Home.

Ronnie enjoyed hunting, especially rabbit hunting & he loved to fish & have fish fry's. He loved going to auctions, watching western movies on TV and he treasured time he spent with his family, mainly his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ronnie will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Shelton is preceded in death by his parents, J.R. & Addie Shelton; his brothers, Leroy Shelton & Robert Shelton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 46 years, Theresa Shelton; his daughter, Melissa Carter (Daniel); his sons, Gleen Shelton (Ramona), Allan Shelton (Christy); his sisters, Ruby Taylor, Bonnie Stamper; his brother, J.R. Shelton, Jr., 9 grandchildren, Allyson Gable, Joshua Shelton, Austin Shelton, Chelsey League, Rebecca Shelton, Kaitlin Shelton, Taylor Carter, Alexis Carter, Kristina Carter; 3 great grandchildren Dunkan Gable, "Baby" Gable & Christopher League.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Alan Carter, Shane Blake, Aaron Johnson & Rodney Shelton. Honorary pallbearer will be Donnie Taylor.


Visitation will be at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 5:00 - 9:00pm and will resume Monday, February 20, 2017 at 8:00am until time of service.
