Grant U. Hilliard, aged 59, of Palmer Ave., collapsed from a heart attack at his home and was pronounced dead on arrival at South Side Hospital, where he was taken by police.

Born in Jefferson County, Pa., Oct 2, 1888, Mr Hilliard was a son of John and Margaret Beatty Hilliard. He came to Youngstown from Vandergrift, Pa., 21 years ago and worked as a machinist for United Engineering & Foundry Co., New Castle, Pa.

Besides his wife, the former Georgia Taylor, Mr Hilliard leaves a son, Kenneth Hilliard of Youngstown and two sisters, Mrs O. V. Moorhead and Mrs W. J. Bradley of Niles.
