Jeffery Lynn Cox, SR., age 53, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at his residence. He was born June 9, 1963 to JC Cox and Ellen Irene Price Gates. He had worked at MS Eaton Furniture Manufacturing before becoming disabled.
Services will be at 2 PM Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Rev. Jerry Hooper officiating; burial will follow in Turnpike Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his two sons: Christopher J Cox and wife Ashley of Horn Lake, MS and Jeffery Lynn Cox, Jr. and wife Malia of Dallas, TX; one sister, Charlotte Houston of Pontotoc, MS; three brothers, Rocky Cox and wife Ann of Pontotoc, MS, Danny Gates and wife Carolyn of Thaxton, MS and David Cox; five grandchildren, Kaylie Cox, Jaelyn Cox, Sophie Cox, Anne Marie Cox and Jaycie Cox; and his special friend, Shelly Coats.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and a brother, Jesse Ray Cox.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
