Virginia Ruth Fann, 83, of the Kingsport Highway, Greeneville, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

She retired from Magnavox after 45 years of service.

Mrs. Fann was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Lisa and Jeff Murphy and Debbie and Gary White; two sons: Allen Fann and John Fann; five grandchildren: Mikey White, Charlie White, Nathan Fann, April Murphy, and John Robert Fann; two great grandchildren: Wyatt White and Trevor White; four sisters and one brother-in-law: Brenda and Bob Weems, Carolyn Lewis, Betty Shelton, Jean Spears; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Lee and Bertha Fann, Mary Sue Fann, Cleste Carter, and Bonnie Wilhoit; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Wanda Freshour, Brenda and Johnnie Bill Jones, Barbara and Everette, and Alice.

She was preceded in death by her husband: James Robert Fann; parents: Henry and Blanch Branch; brothers: John Branch, Jimmy Branch; sister: Juanita Lane; three sisters-in-law: Mary Branch, Sue Branch, and Betty Tullock; brothers-in-law: Gurney Fann, Fred Fann, Willard Fann, Howard Spears, Heinon Shelton, Robert Lewis, and Mack Wilhoit; and special friends: Mary White and Shelly Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 12pm-2pm Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles Weatherly and Rev. Sid Barkley officiating.

Interment will follow in Hardin's Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mikey White, Charlie White, Wyatt White, John Robert Fann, Nathan Fann, Randy Holland, and Gary White.

The family extends a special thanks to Life Care Center nurses and staff and to the third floor staff at Laughlin Hospital.
