US Marine LCPL Randy Jack Glenn, Vietnam Veteran, Native of Durham, NC.

US Marine Lance Corporal Randy Jack Glenn was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Marine Corps, LCPL Glenn served our country until June 15th, 1967 in Quang Nam, South Vietnam. He was 20 years old and was not married. Randy died from small arms fire or grenade. His body was recovered. LCPL Glenn is on panel 21E, line 105 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.

I served with Randy: I first met Randy on an outpost west of DaNang, and we were both from NC. I remember him talking about his home in Durham and I told him about mine. I will always remember that day in June 1967. I lost a brother Marine. I know that he is guarding the gates and we that served with him will be joining him soon. God bless him and his family. He is the Son of Jack A. and Lucille C. Glenn, 207 Rockway Street, Durham, NC.

He served with Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division, III MAF

He was awarded The Combat Action Ribbon(CAR), The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal.
