Charles “Chuck” Bledsoe, Sr. passed away on February 15, 2017, surrounded by his family.

Chuck was born to Aaron and Beulah Bledsoe on January 24, 1928, in San Angelo, TX. While still in high school in California, he enlisted in the Navy during World War II where he served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946. Following the war, he met the love of his life, Louise Jacoby, and they were married on October 30, 1948.

From a young boy, Chuck loved baseball. He played catcher and managed professionally in the minor leagues for the Cincinnati Reds organization in the state of Georgia.

Following his baseball career, Chuck made his living with another talent, construction. Starting as a brick mason, he worked his way up to construction superintendent. He has left his mark on many commercial buildings in San Angelo, TX.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers - Aaron Bledsoe, Jr. and Gene Bledsoe, Gene’s wife, Sylvia, and son-in-law, Joseph Miller.

Chuck is survived by his loving and caring wife of 68 years, a daughter, a son, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one brother.

Graveside service February 18, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
