Charlene Elois Young of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Conway, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Elois was born May 30, 1938 in Forrester, Arkansas to Ed Angel and Edna Marie (Blalock) Angel. Elois was 78 years old. She was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas. Elois believed in the love of God and she lived by it.

Elois' easy going nature was the perfect compliment to her husband James' wit and humor. Together they shared 44 years before he went to Heaven to wait for her. Elois was a kind and warm hearted lady. Over the years Elois opened her heart and home to numerous people across Waldron and Scott County. She was known to many as Granny Elois. She enjoyed taking care of her family and embraced the opportunity to spend time with them and make forever memories. Granny Elois was notorious for her cooking. She made homemade cinnamon rolls that were out of this world. Granny would save coffee cans all year long. Come Christmas she would make cookies from "scratch" and decorate them and decorate the coffee cans and give a personal touch of love to each of her family members. Granny Elois enjoyed gardening and canning the fruits of her labor to have for later.

Elois leaves behind to cherish her memory, six children: James E. Young of Fayetteville, Arkansas, David Young and wife Lisa of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Michael Young and wife Kim of Lincoln, Arkansas, Kevin Young of Pine Bluff Arkansas, Paul and wife Gloria of Crofton, Maryland and Jennifer Fulfer and husband Travis of Maumelle, Arkansas and two daughter-in- laws, Pam Doyle of Heavener, Oklahoma and Valarie Lanier Young of Yukon, Oklahoma. Granny will forever remain in the hearts of her 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Elois is also survived by sisters: Linda Davis and Louise Wilsey both of Waldron, Arkansas, Ann Van DeWeile of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lisa Godfrey of Greenwood, Arkansas and brothers: Bill Angel of Little Rock, Arkansas, Charles Angel of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Gerald Angel of Paris, Texas. Elois will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives were impacted by her including a host of nieces, nephews, friends, loved ones dear to her heart and the many she welcomed into her home across the years as her own.

Elois was preceded in death by her loving husband James Young, one son, Dennis Young, her parents, Ed and Edna Angel, and siblings: Pat Kenner, Joe Angel and Dan Angel.
