Father Thomas K. Melton died in Tom Bean, Texas, on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017. Fr. Tom was born on June 10, 1932, in Asher, to Vern and Laura (Wilsie) Melton. He served his community as a pastor for over 40 years.
Fr. Tom was a generous person who was always willing to help people in need. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, LaVern; brother-in-law, Joe Lightfoot, and nephew, Joseph Patrick Lightfoot. Rosary will be Friday at 7 p.m. and funeral Mass will be Saturday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m., both at Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
