He was a member of Westside Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon and treasurer. He retired from Greenwood Mills in 1957 after 30 years of service.
He was survived by a daughter; two grand- children; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth B.
Bartley of Joanna, Mrs. Duranda D. Luquire
of Greenwood, and Mrs. Estelle B. McNeil of Greenville; and four brothers, Randolph Bannister of Union, Bradley Bannister, Melvin Bannister, and Kirkland Bannister, all of Greenwood.
Funeral services: Monday, January 27, 1969 at Westside Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Frank E. Floyd and Rev. W.H. Beiers.
Burial: Greenwood Memorial Gardens
