Donna Faye (Towle) Marlow, 80, of Oklahoma City, passed away on February 14, 2017 at Wolfe Living Center in Harrah, Oklahoma.

Donna was born in Beaver City, Oklahoma to Herb and Jessie Towle on August 18, 1936. She and her younger sister Arlene grew up on a farm outside of Follett, Texas. She attended High school at Follett High school and graduated in 1954. She went on to earn her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Draughon Business School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She went on to work as receptionist for Dr. Clay, Ophthalmologist, in Oklahoma City and developed many close friends in her office.

Donna met and married the love of her life, Troy Marlow, in November, 1966. They were married for 50 wonderful years. She joined Troy in the ownership and operation of their family business, Marlow’s Landscaping, serving Oklahoma City from 1970 through 2006. They raised three children, Gary, Brad and Amy (Amy proceeded her in death in 1977). Donna dedicated her life to the happiness of her family and was kind and always shared a word of encouragement to those around her. She was a very dedicated, loving and nurturing mother and grandmother. She was often teased for documenting her family’s life in countless pictures and videos that we now cherish.

She loved traveling and went to Europe with her family in 1985 and 1990, as well as traveling around the USA to Hawaii, California, New England and many other locations going to quilt shows and visiting family. She loved attending Church Campmeeting annually at Wewoka Woods in Oklahoma. She was a strong believer in Christian education and was very involved with Parkview Adventist Academy as a Board Member and Choir director where both her sons attended. She also held many positions at Central SDA Church which included Sabbath School Teacher, Head Deaconess, special music coordinator as well as coordinating many events held at the church.

Donna had many passions. She was a talented decorator and was in charge of decorating her church with her well stocked and cherished flower closet. She was a passionate quilter and taught quilting classes at her church. She looked forward every year to fundraising for the church school with their annual fruit and nut sales and was often the top fundraiser. Donna had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed leading a rousing song service and performing special music. She loved antique dolls, painting, gardening, and shopping for “ditties” with her sister.

Donna was very social and maintained many close, lifelong friendships. Daily she could be found making multiple calls to her sister, sons, and friends, checking in to make sure everyone was doing well. She was also very concerned and involved with the well-being of her church family and made frequent house and hospital visits.

It can truly be said that Donna was a wonderful wife and mother and will truly be missed. Donna is survived by her loving husband Troy Carroll Marlow; adoring sons Gary Marlow and his wife Valorie; Bradley Marlow and his wife Abigail; 2 granddaughters Savannah and Haven Marlow; step daughter Diane Banahan and her husband Michael; step grandchildren Michael Jr., Elizabeth, and Samuel Banahan; step son Dennis Hughbanks and his wife Lisa and daughter Maggie; step daughter Jennette Hamilton and family.

The Viewing will be held at Mercer Adams Funeral Home at 3925 North Asbury Avenue in Bethany Oklahoma on Friday, February 17 from 8 AM to 9 PM. A reception will be held at 1 pm followed immediately by the Funeral Service on Saturday, February 18 at 2:30 pm at Central Seventh Day Adventist Church at 4747 NW 63rd Street in Oklahoma City.
