Walt was the son of Tom and Pearl Tash, brother of Van, Thomas, Gene, Stella and Mary Tash. Father of Don and Darlene, grandfather of Dan and James Tash, and Monica and Marc Culver, great grandfather of Morgan, Falyne and Harley Tash.
Walt was the Fire Chief at the crash station at Luke Field Air Force Base for 18 years then owned several filling stations and garages until his retirement. Walt was survived by his wife Billie Jean. Walt's cremains were buried in the Roger's Canyon area of the Superstition Wilderness area on "Derby Day" - May, 1996.
