Obituary for Folste (Flo) Anna Horton
Folste (Flo) Anna Horton, longtime past resident of Farmington, Missouri, peacefully passed away at Southwest Christian Care in Union City, Georgia on February 11, 2017 at the age of 96 years. She was born in the Township of St. Michael in Madison County, Missouri to the late Eberhardt and Lillie (Blanton) Fischbeck.
She graduated from Farmington High School in May, 1938 and went on to attend college at Central Missouri State in Fayette, Missouri where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce in May of 1942. Flo worked at Farmington High School for over twenty years as administrative secretary to the principal’s office.
Flo and her husband James were married in the Memorial Methodist Church in Farmington and were active members there for over 45 years before they relocated to Peachtree City, Georgia in 1992.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, James M. Horton in 1996 and her five brothers, Earl, Edward, Carl, Roy and William.
Flo is survived by her son, J. Michael Horton (Jan) of San Jose, California, and their two children, Amanda and Scott; and her son, John D. Horton (Rita) of Peachtree City, Georgia, and their children, Zach (Liz) and Kaelyn.
Her immediate family and close friends will gather at a later date to remember and celebrate her life.
