LaVina B. McCrary, 92, Hamilton, Mo., passed away on February 14, 2017, at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Hamilton. LaVina previously lived in many various cities due to her husband's work profession, but she had lived in Hutchinson, Kansas, before moving back to Hamilton in 1991.

LaVina was born on February 28, 1924, south of Hamilton, to Charles and Nellie (Cox) Clevenger. While living in Hutchinson, she had worked as a consultant at the Orth Hallmark Shop, and she had been a homemaker.

She was an active member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church and the Hamilton American Legion Post #285 Women's Auxiliary. LaVina was a great cook and her absolute passion was her family.

She married Carl McCrary on May 27, 1943, in Kansas City, Mo. Carl preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded by her parents; 3 brothers-Melvin, L.D. and Bill Clevenger; and her sister-June Mattivi.

Survivors: Two daughters-Elaine (Mike) Wray, Hutchinson, Ks., and Teri (Artie) Meier, Larned, Ks.; Grandchildren-Amy (John) Brennan, Shannon (Kirk) Leithead, Grant (Shayla) Wray, Jason (Shelley) Meier, and Ryon (Cindy) Meier; Great-Grandchildren-Trevor, Tanner, and Tyler Meier, Paige Leithead, Nash, Brogan, and Kain Wray; Two brothers-in-law-William G. (Mary) McCrary-Lee's Summit, Mo., and Frank Mattivi-Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the Hamilton United Methodist Church Sanctuary.

Visitation: 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 20, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Interment: Highland Cemetery, Hamilton.
