Emory E. Sterner Jr., 70, of York, died at 8:23 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Hospital.

The service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home Inc., 2290 School St., Shiloh. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 8:45 p.m.

Mr. Sterner was born March 11, 1930, in Mount Alto. He was the son of Emory E. Sterner Sr. of York and the late Gail M. (Slaybaugh) Sterner.

He was the former owner and operator of Continental Terrazzo Tile Corp. He was a member and former council member of West Poplar Street Church of God; a member of Zeredatha Lodge 451 Free and Accepted Masons in York, York County Shrine Club, Ancient Accepted Scot ish Rite of Harrisburg, American Legion Post 945 and Loyal Order of the Moose 382 in Steelton; and a life member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon York Forest 30.

Mr. Sterner also is survived by a son, Larry A. Sterner of York; a daughter, Gaynor E. Becker of Lancaster; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene R. Sterner and Galen F. Sterner, both of York; a sister, Sandra J. Arnold of Windsor; and nieces and nephews.

Officiating at the service will be his pastor, Rev. Robert H. Stone. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York 17403.
