Mr. Moore, age 74, of Philadelphia, passed away February 14 at Anderson’s.
Gene worked security at Pearl River Resort, where he was the Assistant Director of Security. He was also Director of Security at Wind Creek Casino. He loved New Orleans Saints football, wrestling, the Western Channel and telling stories of his “glory days” as Chief of Police in Eufala, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Moore; son, Johnny (Denise) Moore and daughter, Kristi Harrison; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Lana (David) Turnage; step-children, Buddy (Norma) Ward, Sheri Gullatt, Fabien (Marsha) Tubby, Latonya Bell, Lana Tubby, and Kelly Tubby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Bonnie Moore and brothers, Garry Moore, Kenneth Moore and Phillip Moore.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 17 from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at the funeral home.
