George Seymour Place was born on February 1, 1918 in Green Island, New York and passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 10, 2017. George was a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma at the time of his passing.
Survived by his wife, Julia Elizabeth, lovingly known as Betty.
He served in the U. S. Naval Service from November 1935 - March 1946.
He retired from Unisys where he worked as a service technician & installed the very first computer in Tulsa. George was a generous supporter of SPCA, Meals on Wheels & St. Luke's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to these organizations.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery.
