Glenna D. Kennedy, 90 of Zanesville, died on Tues, Jan. 7, 2014 at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville. She was born on July 17, 1923 in Gastown, Ohio to the late John W. and Bernice Smith Tate. She worked for Timken Roller Bearing in Zanesville and retired from the National Battery Company in Zanesville. She was a member of The Bethel Wesleyan Church in Plantsville, Ohio and was very active in all of the churches activities. She is survived by 1 brother, John Tate Jr. of Plantsville, 1 sister, Freda Thompson, of Heightsville, Maryland, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dale Kennedy, 1 daughter, Peggy Sue Kennedy, 1 brother, Howard Tate, 2 sisters, Eloise Mayle, Lorena Newsome and 2 half sisters, Marie Hill and Dorothy Cook. Services will be held on Sat., Jan. 11, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bethel Wesleyan Church in Plantsville with Pastors Eugene Ramsey and Terry Newman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt Hermon Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Fri., Jan. 10 from 5-8 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill and 1 hour prior to the services at the church on the day of the funeral.
