Through the years, Glenda worked several jobs she loved including the Frank Erwin Center and the Texas Workforce Commission. But her true passion was art. She was a talented painter, exceptional seamstress, and avid gardener. She even loved to color in her numerous adult coloring books. When she wasn’t creating something, she was going somewhere. She loved to hop in the car and go for a drive, sometimes with a plan but mostly just to head out and see what she could see. But Glenda’s most loved talent was making people laugh and smile. She had a ridiculous sense of humor and the ability to charm even the grumpiest of people. No one who met her walked away without a smile on their face.
Glenda was unexpectedly diagnosed with small cell lung cancer last Autumn. Despite outstanding care from her oncology center, her body just couldn’t handle the chemo treatment and after a brief illness, she passed away.
Glenda is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Morrow; her parents, John Whitfield and Eula Bailey; her sisters, Elizabeth Wren and Elaine Franklin.
She is survived by her children, John Morrow and Elizabeth Morrow and various nieces and nephews and her “GrandCat,” Mandu.
Glenda’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Elgin Medical Center, Texas Oncology, Texas Oncology-Radiation and Seton hospital for the love and care they gave to Glenda.
Glenda did not want a funeral so she was laid to rest next to Don, during a private service, at Young's Prairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family would prefer you donate to the charity of your choice.
