Lewis Chester Haines, 93, of Highland Village TX, passed away on February 10, 2017, after a short battle with cancer. Lewis was born in Kinta, Oklahoma on January 14, 1924. He attended Murray State Agricultural College, before departing school to serve in the United States Army during WWII. Lewis was discharged from the United Sates Army as a Staff Sgt. after four years of proud service to his country.

Lewis then married the woman of his dreams and best friend in life, Willie Bell Haines. Lewis and Willie were married for an amazing 58 years prior to Willie Bell’s passing in 2004.

Lewis worked for over 30 years with Sears Roebuck & Company retiring as a Credit Manager. He enjoyed wood working, crafting and attending craft shows with Willie Bell, fishing with grandkids, and being an incredible loving husband, father, grandad, and great-grandad.

Lewis is survived by 2 daughters (Glenda Buck, Pasty Carl), son-in-law (Brant Buck), 4 grandchildren (Justin Buck, Lauren Buck, Theresa Clyde, Kimberly Richard); 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Lewis is preceded in death by wife Willie Bell Haines, and sister Beulah.

Lewis loved his family more than anything in life, and lived a full life until returning home on February 10th to Gods open loving arms.
