Mildred B. Gordon 1918-2004
FARMINGDALE -- Mildred B. Gordon, 86, of Vaughn Street, Farmingdale, died on Monday Nov. 29, 2004, at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta.
She was born in Muncie, Ind., on Oct. 14, 1918, a daughter of George and Francis Birt Muncie. Mildred had been employed for many years at the Allis Chalmers Co., formerly in Augusta.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Gordon; and two daughters, Judy and Andrea.
She is survived by her son, Richard "Flash" Gordon of Richmond; five grandchildren, Michelle of Bath, Naomi of Topsham, Richard of Colorado, Joshua of Topsham and Tegan of Bowdoin; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Buano of Connecticut and Bertha Rice of Indiana; and her brother, Oran Birt of Indiana.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Babb Cemetery on High Street in West Gardiner. Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
