Guy Mayo, 64, of Petrolia, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014.

Memorial services were held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta, Texas with Mr. Joe Davidson of Byers, Texas officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.

Mr. Mayo was born on July 18, 1949 in Clay County, Texas to J.H. (Goat), Sr., and Lorraine (Lyons) Mayo. He graduated from Petrolia High School in 1967 where he was an avid basketball player. Mr. Mayo served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Rancher and a member of the Texas Cattle Raisers Association. Mr. Mayo also raised bucking bulls and was an oilman. Mr. Mayo has a host of friends everywhere and adored his granddaughter Alysia.

Mr. Mayo was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Wendell, Ray and Sonny Mayo.

Survivors include two sons, Clay Mayo of Petrolia, Texas and Chad Mayo and wife Lorie of Comanche, Oklahoma; one daughter, Victoria Mayo of Wichita Falls, Texas; one granddaughter, Alysia Perez of Wichita Falls, Texas; two grandsons, Cade and Rein; one step-son, Sam Morris and wife Kim of Petrolia, Texas; grandson Kolton; sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.
