Visitation: Friday, February 10, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home in Vandalia.

Service: Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Waters Funeral Home.

Officiating: Mr. Kenny Haddock.

Interment: Vandalia Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Johnny Horton, Kenny Thurman, Leonard Gregis, David Ball, Don St. Clair, Roy St. Clair, and Tony Momphard.

Honorary Pallbearers: Lisa Gregis, Skyler Hutcheson, Logan Hutcheson, Kinsley Hutcheson, and Kaelyn Hutcheson.

Thomas "Tommy" E. Hutcheson, age 69, passed away at 6:25 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the St. Alexius Hospital in St. Louis. Tommy was a lifelong Vandalia resident and a 1966 Van-Far High School graduate.

After high school, Tommy started working at the NARCO Refractories in Farber. During his 35 years at NARCO, Tommy worked many different jobs. His last job was as a transfer operator, a position that he held until the plant closed in 2001. Tommy then worked for three years at the Home Decorators factory in Mexico before his retirement.

He was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed watching sports. Tommy was an avid fan of Cardinal baseball and football, Royals baseball, Rams football, and Mizzou football and basketball. He enjoyed any activity outdoors including fishing, golf, mowing, walking, sitting on his front porch, and especially watching his grandchildren in their sporting activities.

Born: September 10, 1947 in Vandalia, the son of Archie Ebb and Zelma Lee (Horton) Hutcheson.

Survivors include: two sons: Todd and wife, Andrea Hutcheson of Vandalia, Troy L. and wife, Melissa Hutcheson of Montgomery City; four grandchildren: Skyler C. Hutcheson, Logan T. Hutcheson and Kinsley A. Hutcheson all of Montgomery City, and Kaelyn R. Hutcheson of Vandalia; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: parents; two brothers: Daniel Lee Hutcheson and Wesley Horton Hutcheson; one sister, Peggy Lou Hutcheson.

Memorials are encouraged to Tommy's four grandchildren in care of Waters Funeral Home, P O Box 84, Vandalia, MO 63382.
