On September 9, 2008, Oswald Herder passed away peacefully, at the age of 79, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Mourning his loss are his wife of 57 years, Irma; two sons; six grandchildren; and his brother; as well as many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Oskar. Interment in Beechmount Cemetery.
