Kegham loved sports from a young age. He served in the Turkish Army and was known as Keram which was a more Turkish name. He owned a camera shop in Sirkeji, Istanbul and lived at the beach at Yeshil Koy. Kegham had heart issues in his last years but continued to maintain his active lifestyle against his doctor's advice. On June 28, 1967 he and some friends took a trip to go swimming at "Kutchuk Sou" near Erenkoy. While he was in the water he suffered a heart attack and was rushed to Haidar Pasha Hospital where he died. His funeral was held at Holy Trinity Church in Beyoglu where he had sung in the choir. He was buried in the Sourian family lot which he had been caretaker of during his lifetime.
