From The Robesonian, Lumberton, N. C., Thurs. 6 Aug. 1908 - Mr. Allman Flowers died yesterday afternoon at five o'clock at the Thompson Hospital of typhoid fever, after an illness of two months.
Mr. Flowers was 27 years old and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Flowers, of the Howellsville section, both deceased. He had been living in Lumberton for the past five years and was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. For the past two years he clerked for Mr. K. M. Biggs. The only members of the immediate family who survive are one brother - Mr. Woodberry Flowers, who lives at the Lumberton Cotton Mills - and two half brothers - Mr. John Q. Flowers, of Howellsville, and Mr. Peter Flowers, who lives in Georgia. His only sister, Mrs. Simpson Rozier, of St. Pauls, died two months ago, just at the time the deceased became sick.
The funeral procession formed at the Baptist church this morning at 9:30 o'clock, and the remains were interred at the new cemetery in North Lumberton. A short service was conducted at the grave by Rev. A. E. Baker.
