Bob was born on November 8, 1941 in Plum City, WI to Albert and Laverle (Hoyt) Rice. He married Trudy Schuerman on October 1, 1960; they had four children.
He worked for 34 years as a commercial construction foreman in Minneapolis, MN, then following retirement he worked for Lentz Fertilizer until he completely retired.
Bob enjoyed going to Cenex Exit 45 restaurant to have coffee where he would sit and talk with the many friends he had. Bob had much appreciation for the outdoors. He liked sitting out on the deck in the summer, working in the garage and whatever else he could find to do outside.
Bob is survived by his wife Trudy of Menomonie, four children Rene (Paul) Maki, Rob Rice, Carla Rice and Courtney Rice; seven grandchildren Dylan, Rachelle and Marrisa Maki, Danika (Kaleb) Freiberg, Dakota (Katie) Rice, Hunter and Chloe Darwin; two great grandchildren Treyson and Esmae Freiberg; his brothers Donnie and Whitey; and his best friend Cory Darwin. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Laverle.
Private funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery in Menomonie.
