Note: No burial record or extant grave marker has been found for Joseph, but his life-long association with this town and the timing of his death strongly suggest that he was buried here. Plans have been initiated to erect a monument here for Joseph and some of his family.

Joseph was the son of Joseph Winn and Rebecca Reed of Woburn, Mass. He was married in Woburn 7 April 1696 to Martha BLODGETT, the daughter of Samuel Blodgett and Ruth Eggleton. Children, all births recorded in Woburn except for Hezekiah, whose birth is recorded only in Wilmington, Mass.; son Joseph's birth is recorded in both towns:

* Martha, b. 24 Jan 1697 [1696/7?]; nothing more, so may have died young.

* Joseph, b. 9 Sep 1698, d. Nottingham West (now Hudson), NH 25 Aug 1781, m. Woburn 1 Jan 1722/3 Elizabeth JOHNSON, b. Woburn 6 Nov 1705, d. Nott. W. 17 Sep 1778, the daughter of Edward Johnson and Abigail Gardner. Joseph and Elizabeth are buried in the Blodgett Cemetery, Hudson, NH.

* Samuel, b. 18 Jan 1701 [1700/1?], d. 1774, m. c. 1727 Sarah _______, b. say 1705, living in 1760. Samuel and Sarah lived in Dracut, Mass. where they had four children born from 1728 to 1737. Samuel's will, dated 24 Dec 1760, mentioned wife Sarah and children. It was proved in Dracut 6 Sep 1774, with inventory dated 26 Sep 1774 showing 300 pounds of real estate plus personal items.

* Ruth, b. 29 Jan 1704 [1703/4?], nothing further found on her, so she may have died young.

* Hezekiah, b. (Wilmington) 28 Nov 1706, d. Wilmington 25 July 1772 in his 67th year, m. Reading, Mass. 28 Oct 1731 Bethia PARKER, b. Reading 19 April 1714, the daughter of Lt Nathaniel Parker and Elizabeth Wright. The Reading vital record says that the Bethiah Parker born in 1714 was the daughter of Jonathan and Elizabeth. However, this couple does not otherwise appear to exist. There were several 18th century Jonathan Parkers in Reading, but none with wife Elizabeth. The assumption is that the record was transcribed incorrectly, and that Nathaniel and Elizabeth were the correct parents for the Bethiah born in 1707 (died young) as well as the one born in 1714. Late in life, Bethiah m. (2) Willmington 16 May 1780 William Tay. Hezekiah has an extant grave marker in the Old Burying Ground in Wilmington.

* Rebecca, b. 15 March 1708, m. Woburn 20 Feb 1729 Samuel BRUCE, b. Woburn 11 March 1701, the son of William Bruce and Elizabeth Cummings. One account says they died in Bolton, Mass., but I cannot corroborate this.

* Josiah, b. 12 Feb 1709/10, m. Woburn 23 Oct 1734 Lydia BRUCE, b. Woburn 24 Aug 1712, daughter of William Bruce and Elizabeth Cummings. It is possible they lived in Lancaster, Mass.
