Joseph Watt, sr., died late this afternoon at the Homestake hospital from acute gangrene of the gall bladder. He is survived by his wife and several children. An obituary will be published tomorrow.

Joseph Watt, who died yesterday afternoon at the Homestake hospital, was born in England 65 years ago. For the past 32 years he has been a faithful employee of the Homestake Mining company, and has made many friends among his employees and others. He is a veteran member of the A.O.U.W.
Mr. Watt is survived by his wife and five children. They are: William Joseph, advertising manager for the Ford theater; Thomas, employed by the Racich transfer; James, who works for the Hamill Coal company; Mrs. William Lawrence of Seattle, Wash., and Ellen, a child at home.
Funeral services will be held from the Methodist church, Tuesday at 1:40 p.m.

The Methodist church was filled this afternoon by sorrowing relatives and friends attending the funeral services of the late Joseph Watt. Rev. J.W. Lucas, pastor, spoke words of comfort and officiated at the burial in South Lead cemetery. Pallbearers were Louis Peters, Joe Racich, Nick Treweek, Ed Harris, Robert Irwin and James Jelbert.
