James A. Scott
James A. "Hawkeye" Scott, 76, of Cincinnati died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.

He was born to Glenn and Nettie (Mullenux (Mullennax)) Scott on Feburary 9, 1926, in Roundup, Mont. He graduated from Roundup Community Schools. He married Carolyn Kerby Dec. 7, 1947, in Unionville, Mo., and served in the Navy during World War II. He was a foreman for the Case Company in Rock Island, Ill., for more than 25 years.

He is survived by four daughters; one son; three sisters, Jeanette Vigil of Riverton, Wyo., Illa Kennedy of Billings, Mon., and one other sister; two brothers; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Floyd Scott; and two grandsons.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 24, at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnell Logsdon officiating. Burial followed at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati with full military honors given by the National Guard at Centerville.
