Ada E. Nolte, 98 years of age, of Lincoln, formerly of DeWitt, passed away at her home at Southlake Village in Lincoln Monday afternoon, February 13, 2017. She was born on May 4, 1918 at Covington, OK to William and Dorthea (Jordening) Bartels. Ada and Loren "Doc" Nolte were married on September 17, 1944 at Daykin, NE, moved from Daykin to Fairbury in 1957, and in 1960 moved to DeWitt. In 2015, Ada moved to Hickman, and then to Lincoln in January of 2017. She had been a home health assistant, a waitress, and was a cook for Tri County Public School for 11 years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in DeWitt, and enjoyed quilting, baking, and spending time with her family and attending their activities.

Survivors include children Kathleen Rahe and husband Dennis of DeWitt, Russ Nolte of Chambers, NE, Lois Joyce and husband Melvin of Lincoln, and LaNette Klostermeier and husband Kim of Billings, Montana; 5 grandchildren Cory Rahe, Darcy Baker and husband Dan, Holly Joyce, Nicholas Joyce and wife J.C., Corinne Morehead and husband Jeremiah; 2 step grandchildren Dustin Klostermeier and wife Kelsey, and Jon Klostermeier; 11 great grandchildren Anthony and Zachary Rahe, Logunn & Tyson Baker, Lay'La Day, Avery, Alesander, & Lincoln Joyce, and Tayla, Brandt and Draxton Morehead; 2 step great grandchildren Brayden & Macy Klostermeier; and brother Eldo Lee Bartels and wife LaVerne of Fairbury.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Dorthea (Jordening) Bartels; husband Loren "Doc" Nolte (1992); 3 brothers and 7 sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in DeWitt with Reverend Sean Koos officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice with the funeral home in charge.
