Obituary

Angela ''Angie'' Nelson was called home to the Lord on Friday, February 10th, 2017. She was 65 years old and was born on December 13, 1951 to A.C. and Dorothy Nelson.

Memorial services will be held 2 PM at View Baptist Church Thursday, February 16, 2017 located at 250 Boynton Rd, Abilene, TX 79606.

Angie was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her.

She attended Butterfield and Wylie schools and she graduated from Cooper high school. She graduated nursing school and worked at Hendrick Medical Center for 32 years. She worked in Mother Care and Labor and Delivery and she even delivered a few babies on her own!

Angie was a single parent to her only child ''Cori'' whom she loved more than life itself.

Angie was preceded in death by her father A.C. Nelson and is survived by her daughter, Alecia Cori Nelson; mother, Dorothy Nelson; sister, Sally Miller; brother Donnie and his wife Ronda Nelson, brother, Johnny Paul Nelson; and nieces and nephews, Michael, Chad, Amanda, Nicole, Donald, Brittany, Andrew, Abigail, and a ton of cousins and friends!

Angie had an insatiable love for horses, was an incredible painter, had a true talent for gardening, and she was always full of surprises!

She was always there anytime someone needed her and she was always by the side of her mom and dad.

Angie would like you to know that her work here is done and her mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, gardening, painting, reading, and riding her horses to her hearts' content. She will be reuniting with old friends and family, especially her father. She's young again and she's living the best memories she ever had.

''Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul be preserved.''
