A shooting late Friday night has police in one Eastern Carolina city searching for a killer.

New Bern police are just releasing information about the murder on Eubanks Street. Almena Richardson was found dead after police say they received a 911 call of a gun-shot victim.

Police say they canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses and information, but were unable to find anyone who could provide them with detailed information on any possible suspects.

An autopsy is being conducted today in Jacksonville which could provide police with more information on the 38-year-old woman's death.
