She was one of the pioneer residents of Miami, and died after a long illness from cancer of the stomach. Interment was made at Pinal cemetery. She was one of the best known residents of Miami. For a number of years she conducted the Gem Tailoring establishment in a building which occupied the site which subsequently became the Central building. Although born in Webberville, Mich., she spent most of her life in Arizona. She was survived by a son, Harry Lee, who operated one of the first moving picture shows in town. She had a kindly disposition, and a willingness to assist the needy.
