Thomas "Tom" Joseph O'Shea, 77 years old, was born on Aug. 25, 1939, in Enid, Okla. The first child to William and Joesphine O'Shea, he came to Alaska in the year 1945, and remained here until his peaceful passing on Feb. 7, 2017.
Tom graduated from Anchorage High School (West); he later worked in many different fields of the retail business until he retired. He enjoyed fishing on the Kenai and hunting with his family. He was married to his wife of 53 years, Ellen O'Shea, and was blessed with two children.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, William and Josephine O'Shea; and is survived by his wife, Ellen; daughter, Kathleen Harding; son, Patrick O'Shea; son-in-law, Evan Harding; daughter-in-law, Kim O'Shea; and grandchildren, Erik Harding, Kaitlyn Harding, Aidan O'Shea and Nolan O'Shea.
No funeral services are planned; his wishes are for his ashes to be spread in the Kenai River.
Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
