Deborah K. Ferguson, 63, of Boonville passed away in the presence of her loving family, at her home, on Tuesday, May, 12, 2015.
Deborah Kay Ferguson was born Sept. 26, 1951, in Fayette, the daughter of Marvin Lloyd and Maxine DuVall Lloyd.
She graduated from Boonville High School in 1969.
She married William Ferguson in June 1969 in Boonville, and they are the parents of two children.
Debby worked for the University of Missouri for many years until health issues forced her retirement. Debby was a very creative person who was known for her ability to create greeting cards that rivaled those of any well-known company.
Her ability to tastefully decorate her front porch and front yard for important holidays was appreciated by all who drove by her home on Main Street.
She enjoyed country dancing, and she taught dancing lessons for more than 20 years.
Debby is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home; her children, Justin Ferguson and his wife, Amanda Enochs, of Columbia and Jodee and her husband, Michael Stock, of Boonville; brothers, Jim Lloyd and wife, Dixie, of Boonville and Larry Lloyd and wife, Theresa, of Ashland; sister, Judy Wilson and husband, Nelson, of Mexico and sister-in-law Nancee Waibel and husband, Billy Don, of Boonville. She will be missed so very much by her grandchildren, Harper and Rowan Stock and Sylvia and Vincent Ferguson. Her faithful friend, her puppy Ted D. Bear, will also have a hard time adjusting.
Memorial services for Deborah will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Davis Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Jon Thoma officiating.
Family will receive friends for one hour before the service, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
