She worked several jobs before retiring from the profession of tax preparation.
In 1967 she had a second marriage to Conrad Max Corbett in Winter Haven, California. He had a son Terry.
She died at a nursing center in Winfield, Arkansas at 78.
Survivors included her husband, Max Corbett, Arkansas City; two sons and a daughter, Walter Vaden Jr., Terry Corbett and Ellen Gregory, all of Phoenix; two sisters, Beulah McFarland and Ada Buzzi, both of Arkansas City; two brothers, Jack Boyer, Watumka, Okla., and Gerry Boyer, Red Rock, Okla., eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
