Obituary - Died Oct. 23, 1887, Mrs. Nannie A (Dew) Wilson, age 36, second wife of elder James R Wilson of the Reformed Presbyterian congregation of New Concord, OH. She was born Oct. 5, 1851. She made a profession of her faith in Christ early in life. Nannie taught school for about ten years and was a successful teacher. She was an active member of the Ladies' Missionary Society. To her parents, Thomas and Jane Dew, she was a dutiful child; to her husband James, a faithful wife; to her birth child Mary E and six step-children, a devoted mother; and to her church, a consistent member. During her last illness she suffered much, but she bore it patiently. She was granted an easy death, just seeming to "fall asleep". Her departure leaves a great vacancy in the family, her husband, her own little
two-year-old daughter, and six step-children left behind. She will be buried in the New Concord Cemetery in New Concord, OH.

Nancy is buried in New Concord Cemetery with her husband James and his two other wives (Jane and Elizabeth) and his daughter, Bessie Gordon Wilson (from his first marriage with Jane). James had 7 kids from his first marriage. Nannie Dew was James's second wife after his first wife Jane E Thompson (1842-1882) died at 40. Nannie was a teacher at Fox Creek in 1882-3. She died at age 36. Nannie's obit with birth date is found in the Reformed Presbyterian Covenanter Vol 25-26.
