Albert Glen Massey a former resident of Creedmoor passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008. He was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Albert J. and Jane I. Massey. Upon graduation he had a distinguished career of 22 years in the United States Air Force where he served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Albert retired from Bergstrom Air Force Base as a CMSGT. Albert attended Southwest Texas State University to prepare for a second career as an Industrial Arts teacher for A.I.S.D. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 Years, Kathleen "Katy" Emerald Massey and their eleven children, [names omitted]; twenty-three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters, [names omitted]; and three brothers, [names omitted]. Private Service for family members will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2008 to honor and recognize Albert's dedication and years of service in the United States Air Force. A Memorial Visitation will be held later that day from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for family, friends and former students at Cook Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home in South Austin to celebrate Albert's talents and achievements. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staffs at St. David's Hospital and West Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for their care of Albert. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Albert Glen Massey to: Institute of the Blessed Virgin, P.O. Box 508, Wheaton, Illinois 60189 or to San Juan Diego Catholic Church, 216 Stony Point Drive, Del Valle, Texas 78617.
