Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Dina and Trinidad Pacheco.
Mary Lou is survived by her loving son, Damian Romero. Also surviving are her brother, Robert Pacheco and his wife, Linda, sister, Patricia Salgado and Jessie López, aunt, Barbara Chávez and aunt, Vangie López, niece, nephews, cousins and numerous relatives.
Mary Lou also leaves behind her lifelong friend, Peggy Sánchez and close friend, Linda Long and many other friends.
Mary's love of our Lord never wavered throughout her illness. Mary Lou retired from Quest in 2002. Mary Lou lived her life with grace, curiosity and made many friends during her life.
Mary's number one priority and love of her life was her son, Damian. Mary Lou took immense pride in all his accomplishments. Her love and pride extended to her niece and nephews. Prior to her illness she enjoyed flower arranging, listening to her beloved books on tape, music, bowling and dining with her friends and relatives spending time conversing about life's events.
Mary Lou will be greatly missed by her loving family and all who knew her.
Service of Christian burial will be on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 205 S. Plaza St. NW in Old Town. Internment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the health care personnel in the neurology ICU at UNM Hospital. Also, the wonderful care givers at the Fresenius Dialysis Center for many years of treatment. A special thanks to "Charlie" for his spiritual assistance.
