Huram Miller was the son of Stephen Crockett & Henrietta Haney (Hardin) Miller of Kentucky. Huram was the second husband of Susannah Wilson, sister of "Bushwhacker" Bill Wilson. Huram served in several pro-secession units during the Civil War, one of them being in Col. Wm. O. Coleman's Missouri Cavalry, C.S.A. Huram Miller is many times incorrectly referred to as "Hiram" in newspaper articles, etc. He did indeed have a brother named Hiram, but he never resided in Mo. Huram's siblings were; (1) George Washington Miller, born in Mo. in 1851,died ?, (2) Amelia Miller, (3) Hiram Miller, born Feb. 17, 1818, died April 17, 1863 serving in the Civil War as a 2nd Lieut., in Co. D, 5th Ky. Inf., C.S.A. Hiram is buried in Breathitt Co. Ky.
(4) Catherine Miller, (5) Levisa Miller, and (6) Sarah M. (Miller) Green, wife of T.R. Green who are both buried in Miller cemetery.

Huram and Susannah (Wilson) Miller's children were; (1) Andrew Jackson Miller, born April 1, 1868, died Sept. 11, 1946, (2) Susan Elizabeth (Miller) Harris, born April 29, 1871, died March 25, 1943, (3) George Washington Miller, born Nov. 16, 1851, died ?, (4) Saranh Ann "Sally" (Miller) Phelps, born April 27, 1854, died Sept. 27, 1926, (5) Martha Jane Miller, born Dec. 30, 1856, died Nov. 15, 1859, (6) Francis Marion Miller, born July 25, 1859, died June 2, 1927, (7) Sterling Price Miller, born March 22, 1862, died Aug. 12, 1922,buried in Garfield, Co. Colorado, (8) Frances Ellen (Miller) Weber, buried in Miller cemetery and was the wife of John Springer Weber. Frances was born Oct. 27, 1864, died April 22, 1918.
