Son of Henry Schowing and Bertha (Weil). Bertha died

Henry, Jr and Louis were taken to the Weil home after the death of their mother March 14, 1877. They were taken care of by the Weil families until their deaths. They were buried in St. Elizabeth Mission Cemetery and both have markers.

Last row of cemetery contains two Grassbaughs, two Weils and the two Schowing boys.

Louis is also list on a stone containing his mother name (as Bertha Schowing) and her first husband Niclous Weber in Newark
