Wandean Lena Turner, 71, of Austin, Texas was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on October 23, 2019. Wandean was born in Taylor, Texas to Susie and Walter Petzolt on December 13, 1947.

She grew up on a farm near Taylor, receiving her high school diploma in 1966. After graduating, she went on to Temple Commercial College and School of Business Administration receiving her diploma in Secretarial Science. Wandean used her knowledge and people skills as a loan processor at several car dealerships in Austin and moved into the banking industry later in her career. After retiring from banking, she helped in the family homebuilding business.

Wandean and her late husband, Neal were very active in Bethany Lutheran Church and the NOAH (Not Over Any Hill) group. She loved to host large gatherings at their home as well as organize cruises and other social outings. Wandean's home was always perfectly decorated for each occasion and she loved to welcome & entertain her family and friends. She was a master seamstress, fabulous cook, and creative crafter. She was a perfectionist in all that she did - such as cooking & baking from scratch, sewing, her home and décor, accounting, and her love for keeping detailed photo albums and family history.

Wandean is survived by her loving & only brother, Marvin (Sheri) Petzolt, 2 nephews Michael (Katie) Petzolt, and Chris (Melissa) Petzolt & 3 great nephews, Weston, Harrison, and Hayden Petzolt.

She is also survived by stepdaughters Dawn (John) Howard & Demi (Becky) Janysek & 2 grandchildren, Tyler & Valerie.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Neal and her parents, Susie and Walter Petzolt.

Visitation will be held at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, on Sunday, October 27, from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 3701 West Slaughter Lane, on Monday, October 28 at 10:30am. Graveside service to follow at 2:30 at Prince of Peace Wuthrich Hill Cemetery, 3101 County Road 417, Taylor, TX
