Julie G. (Wilson) Rhodes, 70, of Clare, Michigan joined her Savior on February 11, 2017, where she had been residing at The Laurels of Mt. Pleasant, MI. Julie battled a long illness while living there for the past few years.

Julie was born on July 18, 1946, in Rainelle, West Virginia. She was a 1966 graduate of Rainelle High School where she enjoyed playing the cymbals in the high school band. Upon graduating, she decided to continue her education and received her license as a beautician, and she was a good one at that! Julie traveled the world as an Army spouse, she lived in many states, and lived several years in Germany.

Julie was known for her big beautiful blue eyes and her unforgettable sense of humor, adored her pets (dogs), and was quite a free spirit who lived life to the fullest with no regrets.

Ms. Rhodes was preceded in death by her parents, Bruddie and Edris Wilson, Rainelle, WV; sister, Arleta Smith, Wilmington, VA; and brother, Gene Wilson, Alderson, WV.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, L. June Johnson, Newport News, VA; her faithful companion of many years, Michael Nieto, and several nieces and nephews.

Julie loved our Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart.
